2016 a spectacular year for the Live Timing

At the start of a new year, just like everyone else, we thought we would take some time to review the year that has passed so quickly. 2016  has been full of timing interesting events all over the world. From Zolder and Mugello to Dubai and Bathurst. Our live timing and tracker, the flagship of our timekeeping, have never seen a better year than 2016. With almost 500.000 unique visitors and more than 18 million page views we can say that by now most of the drivers, teams, press and fans know where to find the Live Timing.

In 2016 alone the Live Timing has been active during almost 300 race events timed by 6 different timekeeping companies and by more than 12 circuits worldwide using the RSTime software. The impressive amount of well-known race events with Live Timing results in an increasing amount of international interest. A bit of research into the statistics tells us that the 500.000 visitors were based in 50 different countries.

But then of course the most interesting question which race events were most popular on the Live Timing? Here's the top 5 of race events according to the amount of sessions during the event:

  1. 12H Mugello (24H series)
  2. 12H Bathurst
  3. 24H Zolder
  4. 24H Dubai (24H series)
  5. 12H Abu Dhabi

Surprised to see Mugello a number 1? 70% of the Live Timing visitors during this event were referrals from the fan website of Robert Kubica who participated in the 12H of Mugello in 2016.

2017, a new year, the calendars are filling up quickly with race events worldwide. It’s going to be another interesting year full of speed. Every week(end) we will list the events timed by TimeService and the timekeepers / circuits working with RSTime Live Timing. So keep an eye on the raceresults.nu website and you won’t miss out on any of the fun.
