2020 - Hit by Covid-19 virus

Due to the Covid-19 virus, 2020 has been a very different year for all of us.

The first quarter started well, although with a heavily rained-out 24H of Dubai, with, at the same time, the Asian Le Mans Series being held at the Bend in Australia. These were followed by the Asian LMS races in Sepang and Buriram in February.

The world changed completely just as the European racing season was about to get started.

There were no more races from mid-March to mid-June. Everyone was looking for opportunities to still be able to do something. Track days were organized, but no actual racing.

But despite the pandemic, in mid-June we were invited to time the very first race organized under Covid-19 restrictions: the Creventic 24H of Portimao. Due to the pandemic, various things were of course adjusted to avoid contact as much as possible for the safety of our people.

We also saw a shift from competitions to timed training opportunities.

Fortunately, we were able to time competitions with our trusted customers again in the third quarter. This lasted until mid-October, when unfortunately Europe became increasingly locked-down again.

Timekeeping in this period demanded a lot from our people. Just think of the many PCR tests, the constant changing of our calendar, and the changes in the laws and regulations in the various countries. Not to mention the increasing administration due to all the forms to be able to travel at all.

Despite everything, we looked to the future with optimism. It has also taught us to deal with the situation differently. In addition to a happy new year, we especially want to add good health for 2021!
